“Best Remodeling/Restoration under $250,000″ GOLD Award from the Builder’s Association of Greater Boston, 2011

The PRISM Awards are bestowed every two years recognizing the best in the building and design industry in the Greater Boston area. Winners were announced in October, 2011 at the association’s gala ceremony at Boston’s House of Blues. Howell Custom Building Group won for an 800 square foot beachfront cottage in Rockport, MA that they transformed into a light and airy retreat, taking advantage of ocean views.

“Best Single Family Home over 6,000 Square feet” GOLD Award from the Builders Association of Greater Boston, 2009

The PRISM Awards are bestowed every two years recognizing the best of the best in building, design and marketing programs throughout BAGB’s membership. More than 260 entries were received this year, and the winners were announced at the association’s gala ceremony at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel. Howell Custom Building Group won for a custom built Lake Front Lodge vacation home in Maine, featuring timber-frame details and extensive stonework.

“Best Residential Exterior” Silver Award from the Eastern Massachusetts Chapter of NARI, 2008

The annual COTY awards recognize the best achievements in remodeling projects by members over the past year. Winners for the Eastern Massachusetts chapter were announced by Peter Hotton, the Boston Globe’s “Handyman on Call”, at a gala event on November 5th , 2008. Howell Custom Building Group won Silver in the “Residential Exterior” category for a spectacular sunset deck they built onto an oceanfront cottage, formerly a bed-and-breakfast, in Rockport, MA.

Winner of the Luxury Living Awards Silver Award for Most Beautiful Master Suite, 2006

The Luxury Living Awards are a juried home design competition that celebrates New England's most beautiful living spaces and the talented design professionals who create them. The Awards provide homeowners with a window into the exciting people, styles, and trends that make New England such a rich and dynamic place for home design. Over 6,000 New England designers, architects, remodelers, landscapers, and other professionals were invited to enter. The jury consists of leading home design professionals as well as homeowners, media personalities, and more. Among this year's jurors are nationally known interior designer Dennis Duffy, the talented architect Jeremiah Eck, This Old House host Kevin O'Connor, and local media personality Susan Wornick.

Named One of the “101 Best Companies To Work For” by Professional Remodeler, 2002

In the fall of 2001, Reed Residential Group, which publishes Professional Remodeler, Professional Builder, Luxury Home Builder and Housing Zone, invited remodelers, builders, and architects to nominate their company as one of the "101 Best Companies to Work For in the Residential Construction Industry". More than 6000 nominations were received. Nominated companies were asked to have their employees fill out an anonymous survey evaluation their workplace. A total of 5834 employees filled out the survey which covered corporate culture, job satisfaction, workplace trust, respect, pride, camaraderie, compensation, fairness, communication, training and customer satisfaction. The companies with the highest scores made the final list.
