- This 800 square ft cottage was part of an oceanfront Inn that consisted of a main house and cottages.
- When the Inn closed, the cottages were sold individually and the homeowners purchased one as a simple weekend retreat, because of its spectacular setting and views.

- The goal of the remodel was to enhance water views while creating more living space and aesthetic appeal --all while staying within the original footprint per zoning restrictions.

- The solution was to open the ceiling with steel cable trusses to create cathedral space and a sleeping/play loft

- Curved mahogany kitchen countertops with a marine varnish (inspired by Boston's Union Oyster House bar) continue the nautical theme throughout the house

- The goal of the project was to better connect the indoors to the outdoors, take advantage of the water views, and add some aesthetic appeal to this 24x36 cottage.
